Without inner peace, outer peace is impossible.

In these perilous times people throughout the world are wondering how to make the world a more peaceful place.

Buddha taught that peace in the world depends upon peace in the heart because it is not possible for people with unpeaceful minds to create a peaceful world.

Peace in the heart, or inner peace, depends on meditation, which is a special method to pacify our unpeaceful and negative states of mind and replace them with peaceful, positive states of mind.

At the Temple prayers and meditations for world peace are held every day. The Temple also offers classes, courses and retreats on how to use meditation to become a good natured person with a good heart. These activities are suitable for anyone, Buddhist or not,

All events at the Temple are open to everyone and include practical courses such as how to use meditation to solve our anger problem, which lies at the root of many family problems. This activity is completely peaceful and joyful and is very important as protection against future suffering.

But you do not need to attend classes to visit the temple. You can come just to enjoy the peace and tranquility – take a break from the busyness of daily  life and sit quietly, read a book or find out more about Buddhism and how it can help the modern world.

Everyone is welcome to the Temple for World Peace. With its magnificent statues, tranquil atmosphere and modern Buddhist bookstore and library it  is a perfect destination for anyone seeking peace, relaxation and inspiration.

Nowadays, with the world in turmoil, there is a particular need for people of the modern world to cultivate the supreme good heart of bodhichitta, the compassionate wish to realise our full potential so we can protect all living beings from suffering.

If we are to make it through these perilous times, true Bodhisattvas must appear in the modern world.
