Mindfulness and meditation has been practiced for thousands of years and have many applications that can help to solve the problems faced within our busy modern lives.
In this 4-week series we will explore how through training in meditation and being mindful of special ways of thinking we can develop a more peaceful, balanced mind and transform our daily experience into one of great meaning and insight. This series is based on the book How to Transform Your Life by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso and can be downloaded as a free ebook.
Wednesday 19 April – Staying Positive
Learn how to maintain a happy mind amidst the business and challenges of modern life.
Wednesday 26 April – Solving Life’s Problems
Discover a fresh approach to difficult situations and the power of the mind to transform our experience of them.
Wednesday 3 May – Establishing a Daily Meditation Practice
This class will focus on how to start a daily meditation practice and how to maintain the peace we have cultivated throughout the day.
Wednesday 10 May – Life as a Spiritual Path
Discover how to break the monotony of ordinary life by transforming seemingly mundane encounters into opportunities for gaining spiritual growth and insight.
Everyone welcome. No previous experience necessary.
