The Healing Power of Meditation | Wednesday Evening | 7:30 – 9pm

“So much of the stress and tension we normally experience comes from our mind, and many of the problems we experience, including ill health, are caused or aggravated by this stress. Just by doing breathing meditation for ten or fifteen minutes each day we will be able to reduce this stress. We will experience a calm, spacious feeling in the mind, and many of our usual problems will fall away.”  Geshe Kelsang Gyatso

Discover the many benefits that meditation can have on our health and well being. Such benefits have been known by Buddhist practitioners for thousands of years and the lineage of these instructions and practices remain intact. We will be introduced to several meditations that can restore the harmony of the inner elements within our body as well as more profound meditation practices to heal our mind of the poisons of anger, attachment and ignorance that Buddha taught to be root the cause of all sickness.
