December: Discover Buddhism
This series will explore some of the foundations of Buddhist thought and how we can come to apply the ancient wisdom in the context of our modern lives. The teachings will aim to address many of the difficulties faced by modern practitioners around topics like faith and past and future lives with opportunities to ask questions and clarify understanding.

January: The Path to Peace: Teachings on the Four Noble Truths
“You should know sufferings,
You should abandon Origins,
You should attain cessations,
You should practice the path”
~ Sutra on the Four Noble Truths
All Buddha’s teachings can be condensed into the practice of the four noble truths, one of the first teachings Buddha gave revealing how can attain the lasting peace of mind known as liberation or ‘Nirvana’. These classes will explore the essence of these instructions, how we can bring them into our heart through meditation and then apply them practically within our lives.

February: Mindfulness, Concentration & Wisdom
This short series will explore the practice known as “The Three Higher Trainings” which indirectly includes all aspects of Buddhist practice. We will explore how we can live a meaningful way of life, refine our mind through meditation and move towards our full awakening.
